Hanleys has been operating for nearly 20 years …
It began as a shoe shop on the first floor of an 1860’s building that originally served as the Ancaster Hotel Stables. Ann’s shoe store flourished for ten years before she decided to expand the business by adding a clothing boutique on the second floor. Carol Campbell was enlisted to create and operate the second floor, affectionately known as The Loft. The addition of clothing, denim and coats has made Hanleys a destination for head to toe wardrobe curation.
Ann Adams, Owner & Operator
Ann Hanley Adams opened Hanleys Shoe Shop in August of 2000. Initially the store was small, operating on one side of the first floor of our current building. Ann opened Hanleys with only a few shoe brands, and since has expanded her business to include many high quality shoe and handbag lines, as well as large clothing and denim departments on the second floor.

Carol Campbell
Carol Campbell has been in the retail business for almost 40 years. She began her career in menswear before owning and operating her own ladies clothing boutique for nearly 20 years. Carol worked at Milli’s & Chanel before settling at Hanleys where she created the second floor clothing boutique. She specializes in buying and selling ready-to-wear.
Murielle Tardif
Murielle has been a part of the Hanleys Business for nearly 20 years, she shares her specialty and fashion experience of leather goods, shoes and handbags. Her focus is on customer care and confidence in quality brands.
Kristin Boughner
Kristin joined the Hanleys family in the Fall of 2022. She brings with her a unique and stylish perspective and excellent customer service. She has a degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and has a knack for making things beautiful.
